Named one of the most beautiful villages in Italy , Castiglione del Lago is centrally located among the nearby towns and cities of Assisi , Gubbio, Montepulciano, Florence , Siena , Orvieto, Arezzo , Rome, Cortona and Perugia .  

By Car

From the north , take the A1 Motorway ( Autostrada del Sole) and exit at Valdichiana , then follow the signs in the following order:

Highway ("Raccordo") toward Perugia , take Castiglione Del Lago exit;
SS 71 toward Sanfatucchio; at Sanfatucchio proceed toward Pucciarelli. After the bridge take the first road on the right, go 200 m and on the left you will find Residenza il Palazzo

From the south , take the Rome-Florence A1 Motorway and exit at Fabro , then follow the signs in the following order:
Chiusi - Lago Trasimeno - Castiglione Del Lago - Sanfatucchio.

At Sanfatucchio proceed toward Pucciarelli . From the intersection that leads to Pucciarelli, after 500 m on the right you will find Residenza il Palazzo.

By Train

Coming from either the north or the south, the best station is Chiusi - Chianciano Terme , which is about 12 km from us.  

By Air

The nearest airport is Sant'Egidio , about 55 Km away. It has daily flights to and from Rome and Milan.
